The short answer
Yes, AirCore HVAC Repair Service handles AC, furnace, heat pump and ductwork repairs throughout much of Los Angeles County, from the beach cities to the San Gabriel Valley. We diagnose the problem first, explain your repair options, and help you understand the local rules and rebates if replacement makes more sense.
AirCore HVAC Repair Service fixes central air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps and ductless systems for homeowners across Los Angeles County. We work in beach cities like Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach and in inland communities like Downey, Monterey Park and Burbank. On every visit we diagnose the problem, explain what we found in plain terms, and give you options before any work starts. If you're not sure your home is in our area, check the community list below or ask us when you get in touch.
Common HVAC Repairs We Handle
Most service calls come down to a handful of problems. We test the system, find the cause, and tell you what it will take to fix it.
- Air conditioners that run but don't cool, or blow warm air
- Frozen evaporator coils and refrigerant leaks
- Failed capacitors, contactors and condenser fan motors
- Furnaces that won't ignite, short-cycle or keep shutting off
- Heat pumps stuck in one mode or not defrosting properly
- Thermostat wiring and control board faults
- Leaky or disconnected ducts and rooms that never get enough air
Why Your Location in the County Matters
Los Angeles has a Mediterranean climate with dry summers and mild winters, but conditions change a lot from one part of the county to another. Inland neighborhoods and valleys run much hotter in summer than areas near the coast, so an air conditioner in Burbank or Downey usually works far harder than one in Hermosa Beach or El Segundo.
Fall Santa Ana winds can also bring hot, dry spells after the usual summer peak. Systems that limped through August often fail then. Hard-working inland units tend to need capacitor, motor and coil repairs more often. Coastal systems may sit idle for long stretches and then struggle when a heat wave arrives.
Repair or Replace? Rules and Rebates to Know
If your furnace is near the end of its life, check the current South Coast AQMD Rule 1111 before you replace it. The rule limits NOx emissions from natural-gas central furnaces sold and installed in the region. The district has been amending it toward zero-emission requirements and sets and revises the compliance dates.
Heat pump rebates depend on the utility that serves your address. LADWP residential electric customers can apply for rebates on qualifying heat pump systems after purchase and installation, within 12 months of purchase. The amount is based on the unit's efficiency rating. Many homes outside the City of Los Angeles are served by Southern California Edison instead, so we confirm the current offer for your address before quoting it. The federal 25C tax credit for heat pumps is not available for installations after December 31, 2025.

What Happens on a Service Visit
We start by asking what you've noticed, such as strange noises, odd smells or rooms that won't cool. Then we inspect the equipment, check electrical parts and airflow, and explain the cause. You get a clear description of the repair before we begin. If replacement is worth considering, we tell you why and leave the decision to you.
